SSL objects already created with <em>SSL_new(3)</em> are not affected, except when <em>SSL_clear(3)</em> is being called.</p> <p><code>SSL_set_ssl_method()</code> sets a new TLS/SSL <strong>method</strong> for a particular <strong>ssl</strong> object.
